Asus is the company that opened the market of low-cost laptops with its Eee PC and so far, it has led the market. However, since releasing the first Eee PC laptops, Asus has countered series rivals like Everex with its CloudBook or HP with its current mini-note. For marinating the top place in low-cost market, Asus has to fight with serious upcoming rivals too. One of these rivals that may overtake Asus in the future is MSI with its Wind PC laptops.

After Asus released its 8.9 inches Eee PC 900 starting price at $549 , we have heard time to time about Atom-based Eee PC 901 with 8.9-inches laptop that will be more expensive than upcoming Atom-based 10inches MSI Wind PC with starting price of $400.

But today news shows that Asus is going to showcase and launch its Eee PC 1000 series with 10-inches display next to its Eee PC 901 at Computex 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Dell Mini Inspiron

We just know that Dell is going to release a low-cost laptop in India but like Microsoft that keeps Windows 7 under many secrets, Dell has just released some Shots of its very sexy low-cost laptop and nothing!

If you look at the following pictures you will see that this laptop is designed with a red- clad exterior and silver chassis surrounded black keyboard inside. The keyboard looks some specious and it seems to be comfortable. Also the trackpad look not to be small. (You can check the pictures and share your ideas with me too).

Through the many pictures that Gizmodo has put in you can see the three USB ports, VGA out, a card reader, and Ethernet.

Acer Aspire One: 8.9"

Few hours after release of some shots of Dell mini Inspiron, few pictures of Acer low-cost laptop have been released today. Surely, we will meet this mini laptop at Computex show 2008 in Taiwan after few days.

This laptop looks like an Atom/Diamondville-based device. Apperantly, it comes with the same touch pad style we have seen in HP 2133 mini note.

This mini laptop runs Windows XP SP3. Its 8.9" display comes with 1024 X 768- pixel resolution. And it will get the price tag of 299 Euro means 100 Euro cheaper than Eee PC 900!

Acer Aspire one looks some handsome.

10-inches Low-cost Laptop for 350EUR

10-inches Jisus V2 low-cost laptop is not only a bigger version or bigger brother of 8.9-inches Jisus laptop, but it comes with many different features like different processor, different chipset and graphics card, different hard drive and new features like Bluetooth. Actually, it looks like a new mini laptop that even the chassis is from different material.

Van Der Led Jisus V2 that will be available from June 20 and will be only covered with pink leather. It will cost only for 350Euro. The price looks reasonable when you see that Eee PC 900 costs 50 Euro more expensive and when 8.9" Jisus costs 300Euro. Jusis V2 looks like a better option for Europeans compared to the previous laptops ( Eee PC and Jisus)

Contrary to 8.9-inches Jisus mini laptop that comes with unknown 1.0GHz Loongson 2F and 512MB of RAM and 4GB SSD, Jisus V2 comes with faster 1.6GHz VIA C7-M processor and more amount of 1GB of RAM, and huge 80GB HHD with standard spinning at 5400 rpm.

The features look good because you can find this hard drive and size of RAM in many mainstream or midsize budget laptops.

HP PAVILION TX2000Z TABLET PC

The HP pavilion is all set to give another version of the tablets with which it was entertaining the world. The tx1000 was a great version which was the only entertainer of the times whereas this new version that we are talking about is the much updated piece with a digitizer. The digitizer display amazes many of the people to get the entertainment oriented tablet. Go on to read the review of the laptop of the times.

Design
The design is similar to the predecessor. And the metal effect is lost. The black and silver cues is gone replacing with the new model swapping the silver hinge with a black one. This uniform design is great to look at. The inside look is also a great feel to feast at.

The tx2000 also sports an “Echo” imprint, which looks like crop-circles, on both the lid and the palmrests, unlike the “wave” imprint that was present on the tx1000.

The hinge looks nearly identical to the previous model, although HP decided to emblazon a helpful arrow to tell you which way the hinge turns. Once you turn the LCD around (the right way) it snaps closed in four locations to tablet form. The clasps won’t automatically snap in place, so you need to make sure you apply equal pressure.

Performance
The Operating System, Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit works better on the system with the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-66 (2.3GHz) processor. The display as mentioned ale\ready is good. It is 12.1" WXGA BrightView LCD and the feature is that it is with active digitizer & touch capability. The performance can be understood when we tell about the 250 GB Hard Drive and 4GB DDR2 memory. The performance is much ahead of the benchmark that was informed.

Pros and Cons
If the Tall appearance when Closed, Below-Average screen clarity and the Bulky appearance are the disadvantages, then the Dual-Mode Display, Good Battery Life, Thoughtful Design and Good Value will compensate by being the advantageous segments of this laptop
